Football is Here

Today in Champions League soccer Liverpool (Champions League champions) and Chelsea (Premier League champions meet). It is a classic matchup that is actually being shown on American tv. Therefore since I taped, I will get to watch it.

In baseball, the playoffs are coming up. Here's to hoping that the Yankees are left on the outside looking in.

In American football, my Ravens are sucking it up pretty good. At 0-2 they play the Jets this week who are down to their third string quarterback. Hopefully the Ravens will come away with a win.

That's a sports wrap for now.

I watched the Liverpool/Chelsea match, and fell asleep. When two teams are that evenly matched there isn't much action. Not surprisingly, I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that US TV only seems inclined to show the matches that Premier League Teams are playing in. Maybe that will change in the coming wekks. I really want to see some action from Barcelona and Inter Milan.

They actually don't stick to just premier league matches. What happens is that ESPN2 almost every Wednesday afternoon during the Champions League and Premier League season shows a game. Since the Barcelona/Inter game was on Tuesday it didn't make it on. Liverpool/Chelsea was the biggest game on Wednesday so that is the one that got aired.
